Best Celebrity Looks of 2019

2019 has been a fantastic year for the fashion world! From the famous Jacquemus ultra mini handbag to the revival of the 90s square toe sandals – and we’ve been through them all! Every celebrity has showcased their favourite fashion trend in their own unique way. Not all trends were as fashion-forward (hint hint: high heel flip flops). But don’t worry, we’ll separate the fashion-forward from the fashion faux pas for you and show you the best of 2019. See our handy list of the best celebrity looks this year.

Christian Dior Give Me More!

Dior Monogram First on the list is the fashion queen herself! Take a bow (pun intended ?) for Rihanna in this fabulous head-to-toe Christian Dior outfit. In November 2019, the celebrity was spotted by the pap in Santa Monica rocking a full Dior OOTD and not one . . . but TWO Dior handbags (iconic, we know). What’s more is that the fashion mogul’s look was covered in CD (for Christian Dior) monogram featuring in her stunning vintage slip dress, coat, hat and of course, both handbags – it’s not difficult to see why we’re obsessed! Not to mention, she also wore two of the brand’s most iconic handbag silhouettes. Rihanna slung a Dior Oblique Saddle bag (which is currently valued at R 49 228) while clutching the Dior Mini Book Tote (currently valued at R 25 716). See the price of Dior handbags in South Africa for more. This is an over the top fashion statement that we definitely approve of.

Louis Vuitton Throwback

Louis Vuitton bag We love vintage fashion and Kendall Jenner just perfected this 2000s inspired OOTD. Last month, the model was spotted strutting in a head-to-toe leather ensemble (of course it’s all designer – duh!). This celebrity rocked a hunter green leather jacket paired with black leather trousers, a high-neck tee and stunning square toe boots (which was also an iconic 2019 fashion trend). Not to mention, authentic vintage Louis Vuitton handbag. The Louis Vuitton x Stephen Sprouse mini pochette features LV monogram with applied hunter green, graffiti-style text – most fashion trends are recycled, and we aren’t mad at this one. What’s not to love about this designer outfit?

Chanel Dion

Chanel flapbag Celine Dion slayed the fashion game this year – from her Virgil Abloh graffiti bodysuit (for Paris Fashion Week) to her iconic Oscar de la Renta ‘camp’ themed outfit for the 2019 Met Gala. But one of our favourite everyday ensembles of 2019 is definitely her all-black outfit that she showcased in New York City. This sophisticated ‘fit includes croc-embossed leather pants, Wolford turtleneck bodysuit, gorgeous tweed Chanel jacket – and not one, but TWO Chanel quilted flap bags (the more the merrier, right?) These two designer handbags combined value of R 146 776, 00 (not to mention the rest of the outfit!). Doubling up on handbags seems like a popular celebrity trend that we’re totally here for – excess baggage has never looked so glam.

Another Celebrity in DiorDior metal bag

Over the years, Kim Kardashian has shown us some interesting designer looks (yes, some were oh-so fashion-forward while others were a definite fashion faux pas). But we openly admit, this is one of our absolute faves. This year, the celebrity was spotted running errands in a casual OOTD featuring a purple oversized T-shirt, designer sunglasses, some Yeezy sneakers and a Dior Saddle bag. But not just any Dior handbag – this beauty is made entirely out of metal! The iconic Dior x Sorayama Saddle Bag collaboration debuted on Kim Jone’s men’s Pre-Fall 2019 runway and mimics a certain futuristic, robotesque structure which is also reflected in the jewellery too (designed by Yoon Ahn, the Dior Men’s director of jewellery). This beautiful bag went viral on Instagram and we totally get it – we’re in love!

Hermès Queen

Hermes bag collection If we’re talking about classic celebrity looks, then it would be a crime not to mention the iconic fashion mogul, Victoria Beckham! This year, the 45-year-old fashion designer turned heads when she was spotted strutting her stuff in Paris. Victoria looked incredible in an elegant skirt suit with a racy slit down her leg that she paired with a signature print pussy-bow blouse – with a brown corsage and a wrapped-up jacket. And of course, anyone that is familiar with Victoria’s style knows that her designer accessories are always tops. The iconic look is contrasted with an eye-popping purple Hermes handbag and matching purple shoes – we’re obsessed! Victoria is known for her extensive Hermes Birkin bag collection amongst other high-end designer handbags and shoes, but this unusual purple is definitely one of our faves!
