Since joining Moschino in 2013, Jeremy Scott has only produced unconventional yet iconic designer runway shows. Join us as we take a look at our favourite fun and fabulous Moschino fashion shows headed by Jeremy Scott.
For the Moschino Autumn/Winter 2014 fashion show, models strutted down the runway in ensembles inspired by McDonald's! The collection featured phone cases, sweaters, visors, dresses inspired by the Golden Arches. And of course, the Happy Meal box handbag was one of the hottest items on the show. This capsule collection was available for purchase straight off the runway.
Autumn/Winter 2015 - Looney Tunes Collection
Taz, Daffy, Sylvester and the rest of the gang received a designer makeover at Moschino’s Autumn/Winter collection in 2015. The collection embraced the iconic 90’s hip hop look: think chains, denim, basketball jersey dresses and bomber jackets. What’s more, the catwalk decor included a giant stereo set in which models would walk out.
Spring/Summer 2015 - Barbie Collection
Remember growing up with Barbies and dreaming of becoming a real-life doll? Well, Jeremy Scott made our inner child’s dreams come true with his Spring/Summer 2015 collection. The runway was filled with bubblegum pink, while the speakers blared 'Barbie girl' music. Not to mention, the models looked like Barbie dolls that had escaped their plastic boxes and made it down the runway.
Spring/Summer 2017 - Paper Dolls Collection
It’s clear that Jeremy Scott loves bringing dolls to life because, in 2016, he released another doll-inspired collection. Except this time, they’re not plastic fantastic, but pretty paper dolls. Models including the Hadid sisters wore short, 60’s style bobs and walked in polka-dotted dresses, swimsuits, and pussy-bow blouses that looked like paper - including the paper tabs! Yes, Scott has experimented with trompe l'oeil plenty of times before but for this collection, everything was trompe l'oeil: two-dimensional, life-size paper doll versions of classic Moschino looks.
