According to Stylight, the bandana style has seen a 121% increase in searches and has become a top trend for summer 2021. This style is partly due to the 90’s comeback as well as luxury fashion houses including the style on the runways (Gucci, Valentino and Chloé, name a few).

Step into summer with your best footwear forward. Round-toe heels are so last season, now we’re obsessing over square-toe heels. Part of the allure is that this geometric style shoe comes in many different forms, from comfortable kitten heels to sexy strap up high heels. So, it’s easy to dress it up or down according to the occasion. 

6. Cropped Cardigans

Although summer is really hot in South Africa, you will experience some slightly chilly evenings. A cropped cardigan is the perfect clothing item to just throw on once the weather cools down. These can even be worn as tops when they’re designed with silk and cotton material.

Pochettes never go out of style, but they’re currently regarded as a hot item this summer. Particularly tiny designer bags that fit neatly under your armpit. Pochettes can be styled with oversized low-rise pants or a silky slip dress.

According to Vogue, cottagecore dresses are a must-have for summer this year. There’s just something about long and flowy dresses that gives off an elegant and effortless appearance.

Much like diamonds, gold is forever! However, stacking up gold jewellery has been especially popular these days. Particularly, chunky hoops and layering delicate gold chains and rings. Plus, if you haven’t got your summer tan yet, gold jewellery has a tendency to bring out your inner glow regardless of your skin colour.
