He Banned Skinny Models On His Runways

In 2006, Armani was the first designer to forbid ‘size zero’ models in his fashion shows. He even went as far as to encourage the rest of the fashion industry to follow suit in order to reduce the rate of eating disorders in young women. Armani uses women with ‘normal’ weights and shapes and will not work with women below a BMI of 18. This was motivated by the death of 22-year-old Uruguayan model, Luisel Ramos, who starved for 3 months.

That is R138.8 billion!
