How Do I Know What My Face Shape Is?<\/span><\/h2>\n

The Importance of Knowing Your Face Shape <\/span><\/h3>\n

Spectacles and sunnies aside, did you know that your face shape dictates which weave, hair lengths and styles look best on you? Knowing your face shape will also assist you when doing your own makeup – you\u2019ll know exactly where to contour for example. <\/span><\/p>\n

As every trendsetter knows, emphasising your best features is a MUST.<\/p>\n

First and foremost, every face shape falls within the following groups: <\/span>round<\/span><\/a>, <\/span>square<\/span><\/a>, heart or <\/span>oval<\/span><\/a>. Furthermore, you may even find that some faces, share combined character traits.<\/span><\/p>\n

However, rest assured, every face will always lean toward one of the 4 groups more so than the rest.<\/p>\n

How Do I Measure My Face Shape? <\/span><\/h3>\n

In order to determine which shape your fancy face is, we\u2019re going to use the \u2018Cross Shape\u2019 method. All you\u2019ll need is a ruler, a mirror – and a face.<\/p>\n

STEP 1<\/b><\/p>\n

Stand in front of the mirror and practice your Royal Wave <\/span>(YASS!)<\/span><\/i>, then grab a flexible ruler, a pen and paper.<\/span><\/p>\n

STEP 2<\/b><\/p>\n

With a \u2018<\/span>straight\u2019 <\/span><\/i>face, measure your forehead from side to side (Hairline A to Hairline B).<\/span><\/p>\n

STEP 3<\/b><\/p>\n

Now with a slight smirk, measure your jawline from below Ear A to Ear B.<\/span><\/p>\n

STEP 4<\/b><\/p>\n

Pout a bit and measure the length of your face from your forehead to your chin.<\/span><\/p>\n

STEP 5<\/b><\/p>\n

Compare the measurements of the breadth of your forehead and the breadth of your jawline. The higher number between the two would then be your face\u2019s width. <\/span><\/p>\n

As an alternative, you could add the two numbers together and divide it by 2 to get the average (more accurate) width. Circle the larger of the two measurements. Now, this is your face width.<\/p>\n

STEP 6<\/b><\/p>\n
